Join the CITY OF EL CAJON as we plan to Honor and Celebrate 100 years of People Who Made El Cajon the “VALLEY OF OPPORTUNITY”.    Whether your roots are in El Cajon or you are new to our city, we encourage your participation, businesses and community friends in the celebration of this important occasion as we look toward how we can leave a viable reminder of our rich past, exciting present and a future filled with remarkable potential.  This valley continues to offer people from all walks of life who dare to dream of a better life.

The City Council established a volunteer Centennial Committee to plan the City’s Centennial Celebration.  The kick-off will be in November 2011 with a yearlong celebration of exciting public events.  We also encourage you to share your personal stories, memories and historic photos about the City of El Cajon.  It only takes a minute and you can share your memories and photos with everyone once it is posted.
